News of Sadness

I am so sorry I haven't been on here. My Father went home to the LORD suddenly on Saturday, August 22nd. It was unexpected and a great shock to us all. We had the services for him on Wednesday and Thursday. He is buried here in the cemetery near my house. It has been difficult for us all, but we are all taking this moment by moment. I wanted to let you all know why I have been missing in action for so long. I do not know when I'll be back into doing some cricut stuff. I just don't have the motivation right now.

We are also dealing with our son at this time as he's having a bit of difficulty in losing his "Pa" (Grandfather). We are taking steps now to help him through this.

NEWSFLASH! UPDATE! UPDATE ALERT!!

I wanted to be sure to post this. Yesterday we went to the doctor's for Robbie's leg. We had 2 x-ray's done and the results are in!!!! The cast has been removed!!!! Yea!!!! He's happy that it's off. Now we're in a sensitive spot though.

The doctor has stated that if he falls, twists, gets bumped hard or if he falls on his leg he could re break it again. We are being careful and he's still using the walker at this point and is also in the wheel chair to get around at school, until he feels comfortable; at least within reason.

However, we have seen some fear in him. He has decided that he's not going to walk on his leg and he's only going to scoot along. This makes it difficult for getting out and about. I find that if I need to run errands I need to get them done before he returns from school. I'm hoping that this isn't going to last a long time. We are trying to encourage him to step and see that his leg is ok to walk on. He had been doing it in the half cast, but now that it's out he doesn't want to walk.

I thank each and everyone of you who have followed my blog and have followed our progression through this whole ordeal. I'm glad we have the support and that we can voice what's going on when needed and not be ridiculed by speaking. Thanks again and thanks for stopping by.

Cuttlebug Spot Challenge #38 : Make us laugh

Ok, Nilda asked that we do a funny project and make them laugh. Well, I sure hope this does it. I know I laugh now, but back then I wasn't laughing. I was quite sore; read on you will see why. This card was inspired from our honeymoon.


We went to Niagara Falls. We got a room it was great a heart shaped jacuzzi in the room and a full wave king size bed. Note "full wave"...I didn't know that before, but figured it out quickly. Hubby wanted to eat in the room so he went out to get food for us. He came back set up and even had flowers, awww. I was on the bed watchin the tv until he told me to close my eyes and he'd tell me when supper was set. I did; then he came around to the opposite side of the bed and jumped on the bed - said supper's ready. (Mind you I was on the other side near the edge) I popped up in the air like a piece of popcorn in a popcorn popper - came down and landed on the floor. Hubby said sorry, but supper's ready. He gets me back up on the bed..he adjusts himself to get off the bed. Wrong move...he lost his balance and flopped back on the bed and right back up in the air I went and to the floor I landed. Then if that wasn't enough when it came time for bed after the jacuzzi hehe. I was on the bed again....he comes out of the washroom flops on the bed says bedtime and up I go again and down on the floor I land. Now by this time I'm lookin' for something to tie me to the bed so he can't do it again... I couldn't find anything...so I moved the two nightstands to my side of the bed and gave him a warnin' don't do that again or this will really hurt. I hope you find this as funny as we do now rofll.
